A butterfly knitting lace pattern with reversible bubble knit pattern.
This is one of the newest lace knitting patterns we’ve uploaded to our YouTube channel.
It is intricate, textured and beautiful Perfect for the upcoming Spring season. Try it out with one of our new Knitted Shrugs instructions or as an accent for some of the favorites, like a knitted cowl or a knitted beanie hat.
Here’s the pattern and video tutorial:
Alternated Small Butterflies
Use the needles that the yarn calls for.
Multiple of 4 + 3
k=knit
p=purl
Repeat from * to *
Rows 1, 3 and 5.- k3, *p1, k3*.
Rows 2 and 4.- p3, *k1, 3*
Row 6.- *p3, (on the next stitch, let go of 4 rows, pick up the stitch and knit
it from behind the “ladders”). End with p3.
Rows 7, 9 and 11.- k1, *p1, k3* end with p1, k1.
Rows 8 and 10.- p1, *k1, p3* end with k1, p1.
Row 12.- p1, (on the next stitch, let go of 4 rows, pick up the stitch and knit
it from behind the “ladders”). End with p1.
Repeat these 12 rows for pattern.
