Quick and Easy Gift ideas to make in just 1-5 hours, ideas for everyone!
We love roundups. Especially now that we have many gift ideas to share with you from all the new projects we’ve made in the last few months. We’ve created, slippers, as few shawls and everything in between, including legwarmers and home decor.
So here’s a list of some great project ideas you can make in a matter of 1-4 hours for practically everyone in your family or circle of friends / loved ones.
Head Turbans
These are so fashionable and trendy. We’ve made two versions of the turban: as a headband and as a hat. You can view both tutorials here:
Big Bow Scarf
This is a great project idea we got from inspiring French fashion magazines. The big bow scarf is quite easy to make with a unique ribbing pattern. You can make smaller versions to use as a handkerchief scarf.
Find the complete tutorial here (video).
Unisex Cabled Cowl Scarf
One of the most popular tutorials on Pinterest. This is a great project to make for the men in your family, but it is definitely gorgeous for both men and women. It is worked in the round with a very easy cable pattern and ribbed edges. Follow along with the complete video tutorial. Find the instructions in the video description.
Knitted and Crochet Tapestries
For those for a knack for home decor. These are a great idea as room decoration accent pieces. One made with the Arrowhead Knitting Pattern and the other with a simple Arcade Stitch Crochet pattern. Find the blog post tutorial HERE.
Capes and Capelets
Capes and capelets are the new ‘in’ thing in Knitting, mostly now after the surge of Outlander-inspired knits.
So we created a few cape and capelet project tutorials and even had a knit-along for them. And the results were some beautiful pieces and many found interesting ways to design them.

Quick and Easy Ribbing Knitted Legwarmer Pattern
This is also a favorite for fashion lovers. A great gift idea for teens, especially young women. You can adapt other ribbing patterns, as they are particularly better for legwarmers (so they don’t slip down)
Here’s our version of the legwarmers:
The Overlapping Waves Knitted Shawl
One of the favorites right now. This pattern might look complicated but once you’ve had a couple of repetitions in, you’ll easily get the hang of it. This is an original design by Joanne and you can only find it in our store.
