Crochet Ripple Stitch (Chevron or Zig Zag) Video Tutorial

 

The Crochet Ripple Stitch is an intermediate-level Crochet pattern made to create ‘waves.

Not to be confused with another of our videos, the Rip Tide Crochet Stitch.

You can use as many color as you want. To get a good idea of how they look together, we suggest this link: Color Palette Creator.

This pattern is also ideal for a blanket, handbags, skirts, and many other cool projects.

Use Worsted yearn and a F hook.

Instructions

        Ripple Stitch #1 (crochet)

Chain multiple of 17=1

I did 34+1=35

Row 1.-On 4th chain from hook (this counts as first dc), make 1dc in each of the next 7dc to have a total of 8. 

Chain 2, and on that same stitch, make the next double crochet and 7 more in each chain to have a total of 8. 

Skip 2 chains. 

double crochet on the next 8 chains.

Chain 2, and on that same stitch, make the next double crochet and 7 more in each chain to

have a total of 8.

Row 2.- 3 chains up, (make 2dc into 1) and 6 dc into each stitch=8,  chain 2 and make 8 dc

             into each stitch. 

Skip 2 stitches and make 8 dc into next 8 stitches, chain 2 and make 6dc into next stitches,

make 2dc into 1 and dc into last stitch.

Oh, my… this is like a combo of our Bubble Pattern and this one. Of course one made with knitting and the other with crochet.
