Part of our series of Spring / Summer Knitted Stitches this Summer Lace Stitch #1 is a super fun and intricate pattern.
Ideal for blouses, boleros, beach bags or really anything that has an open work.
Another idea: knit it with very fine yarn and (still using 2 sizes larger needles) and make a very sheer looking blouse or sweater.
Maybe also a great pattern for decorative trim.

You can use any worsted yarn: http://amzn.to/1Ykjso6. Just make sure you use about 2 sizes bigger needles than what the yarn calls for.
pass as p=pass stitch as if to purl
psso2= pass yarn over stitch over last 2 stitches
Repeat from * to *
Use 2 sizes larger needles as what the yarn calls for.
This stitch is made with an odd number of stitches.
4 Row Stitch
Row 1.- K1, *yo, pass as p, k1, yo, psso2*
Row 2.- *P2, let go of the yarn over* p1.
Row 3.- K2, *yo, pass as p, k1, yo, psso2* k1
Row 4.- P3, *let go of the yarn over, p2*
